Cameo cloned Lifestyle 5th wheels

We finally got to see inside a couple of Lifestyle units yesterday.

We would say without a name change, the staff at Lifestyle have done a remarkable job. We would not hesitate to buy one.

They made a few changes decorative ...blinds - pull solid shades with mesh pull downs. Great concept we thought.

Closet is larger and deeper. Loved the kitchen counter.

If your looking for a very nice unit, check them out.

Too bad they don't make a 28-30' FW, which seems to be true of most of the "luxury" RV builders.

  • I would love to take a factory tour. Might have to plan for that
    in the fall.

All good points Farmer Dave. Very good changes.

Still love our Cameo, but really like Lifestyle.
  • We took a tour of the Lifestyle factory. These are fantastic units. I want to buy one but need to sell our Cameo.
  • duramax the AC and the AC duct work is much improved, the air from acs all goes through the ducts. The ac does not even come down through the sealing of the coach. We was at a state park a couple days when it was 102 and parked in full sun and could keep our trailer at an temp. we wanted. Lighting throughout the coach is much better. Propane range top is much better. Slides go in and out much smoother. Kitchen counter top and back splash is great. We also got the MCD shades and Love them. And of course I love my Big Foot

We are very happy with our new trailer
  • Farmer Dave - Its nice to hear first hand how good it is.

What other changes are you speaking of. Sometimes until you actually

own something, you see all changes. Just curious,

Ford - I always enjoy reading you posts, and you r pictures are
    hilarious!:)

As far as the company employees - good job for picking up the pieces
    and moving ahead.
  • I'm glad to read that the Carriage people found a home, does anyone know how many of the 200 got a job at Lifestyle?

  • Evergreen RV owns "Lifestyle RV" and I certainly with them the very best!

"About 200 people lost their jobs when Carriage shut down but there is good news as many of those workers have joined forces to form a new company.

Work is currently under way in Middlebury to open a new company known as Lifestyle Luxury RV. It aims to make high end fifth wheel travel trailers at a vacant factory. The driving force behind the new company is a good number of people who used to work at Carriage RV in Millersburg, including Greg Kitson who worked at Carriage for nearly 20 years.

“We have a lot of people on board that have a lot of years of service, a lot of expertise in what they do and great people,” said Kitson. “They are the most loyal people.”

Kitson, along with other former carriage employees, developed an idea to keep that workforce together and help develop a new company."

I see a long and prosperous future for them!

But I'm not sure how they came up with the name of the Company..."Lifestyle"!
  • I have the 2011 Cameo so was interested to look in the Lifestyle. The dealer said Evergreen bought everything except the names. They want to keep the same quality unit. I'm glad as the Cameo is by far the best trailer we ever owned. I to would buy a Lifestyle.
