If you are talking about Dexter axles I would contact Dexter and consult with them. I learned that the only difference between their 5200# axle and the #6000 axle is that the hub in the #6000 axle has a larger outer bearing than in the #5500 hub. So, when I had to replace a hub, I got the 6000# hub. I did change both hubs on the same axle.
