I would not add a third axle, too complex, you might end up having to relocate the original axles to obtain proper pin weight. Actually you are over thinking this, wait til you get the new trailer built, then get weighed and decide if you want to upgrade to 5200 lb axles. If you do it now and the trailer is lighter than expected ( like that is going to happen), the springs will be too stiff and beat your new unit up.
