Changing axles does not require the tires to be upgraded. Tires are fitted to the trailer’s GAWR values found on its certification label. Only the vehicle manufacturer or a certified vehicle modifier have the authority to change GVWR/GAWR values.
It’s probably best to consider upgraded axles as providing load capacity reserves. It’s much like going up a load range with replacement tires.
