  • Some manufacturers void warranties if you full time in their units. You CAN do it, but I wouldn't. IMO, they are intended for occasional use. Check insulation, tank sizes, storage & closet space. Many weekend & vacation units are short in closet & pantry storage. Does it have a bathroom you can live with? Drawers for toiletries etc? Shower you can get clean in comfortably? The appliances may be the same in some cases, but there is more to consider. I am not picking on Cougar, just giving you things to consider. Good luck with your decision.

I dont think the guy is talking about setting up camp in a subdivision. Possibly you should brush up on the term fulltiming. But please tell us about these legalities

Can you provide any factual info about why staying in a 30 foot Cougar is not legal? This is news to me.
  • Funny thing about RVs.......

Majority of them use the same components manufactured by just a few companies.

Ad after 2 yrs OEM warranty is over so they all will need some form of interaction either directly by owner or via a repair facility.

The handier one is the easier to interact as needed.

Folks have been FTng in every type of RV ---tents, popups, campers, TTs, FWs, MHs etc.

    Choose yours and GO!
  • Yes, while not ideal, you can full time in what ever works for you. You may want to add better chairs or couch at some point. I am sure there are people living in a lot less than a 30-32 foot FW.

All rigs need maintenance, the more you do, the longer they will last.

  • You can with any if you are willing to keep up with the maintenance, and maintenance levels can vary. It's funny you specifically ask about a cougar 5er
    A you tube channel for
    "love your rv"
is all about a couple that full times in a cougar 5er including mods he has done.
