- TxsurferExplorerI don't think I will have a straight shot in my driveway is why I ask
- Some angle is OK with Superglide. Very rare that you cannot get a straight shot at it. More likely to need to unhitch at an angle and that is rare. Yes in the very infrequent time of need you can remove the hitch head. In 12 years I think it has been once when unhitching that I had an issue.

My experience with my SuperGlide if I needed to hitch at an angle, I separate the hitch head from the base and attach it to my kingpin. I would then back under the head and align the base and lower the head onto the base, re-attach the head to the base and I'm good to go. Not the easiest, but it worked. I've since moved to a long bed and Andersen hitch.
I have the pullrite and I will have to try this in the front yard before I need to do it. the other manual sliders maybe able to come in at any angle. - brianpearceExplorerMy experience with my SuperGlide if I needed to hitch at an angle, I separate the hitch head from the base and attach it to my kingpin. - DuctapeExplorerRotate the hitch, back under the pin, and drop the kingpin straight down into the jaws. Takes precision.
