Can't access front storage when hooked up to long bed truck.

We can't get into our front storage when hooked up. This is where the batteries are located plus hydraulics. Is this a huge issue? Is a slider hitch our only solution? What problems could come up?

Sorry everyone. Obviously I need to update my info. We now have a Heartland Big Country 3150RL. Our truck is a 3500 GMC long box. We have a trail air pin box with blow up tire Thingy! Sounds like the split door would be a good solution. Where would we look for one.
