- VeebyesExplorer IIThe clean freaks kill me. They let their dogs lick all over their faces. Do they know what a dog can & does lick???
All mothers wipe babys hands with antibacterial baby wipes.....then put the baby on the floor where it crawls over & east thwe dog's food, the cat's food or anything else dead or laying on the floor.
How did we ever grow up? Among other things I got into powdered rat poison once. - katmann343ExplorerA little chewed up grass never hurt me.
- cyntdon2010ExplorerSometime these post are boring... not on this subject.
I wear gloves and wash my hands after with soap and water,
when I go into a rest stop bathroom. I am surprise by the people who walk out
without washing there nasty hands. - SteeljagExplorerI glove up, was taught and use the medical glove removal technique as stated above. Once done I still wash up and down the road we go!
- WyoTravelerExplorerNo gloves. It is soap and water after. I think people believe gloves saves soAp and water. Nope. Soap and water is cheap. JMHO
- TerryallanExplorer III learned after just a few trips to leave the connectors attached to the hose. So the only thing I now touch is the out side of the hose. I just attach the connectors to their fittings, and I'm done.
However. I only dump at sites with FULL hookups. That way I can take my time, and do it right.
No I do NOT use dump stations. When we dry camp on the Blue ridge Parkway. We use the CG facilities. I will not go to a dump station. I'm too LAZY, and, It's my TT, I use it the way I want. - rhagfoExplorer III

Lemme see if I have this right for those who use gloves.
First you put the gloves on, handling the outside of them as you do so. You do all of your business not being all that care because you have gloves on, right?
Finally you take them off which involves handling them on the outside to do so & store the 'contaminated' gloves away. You probably do not wash your hands because you have been wearing gloves.
Now for the gloveless. We do all of the dirty barehanded however we are likely to be very careful when doing so. Further, after the job is done, at a minimum we wash our hands or use a disinfectant hand cleaner kept in a very convenient place before handling anything else.
the gloves (rubberized) give a better grip. Heck I store them with the stinky slinky, in the 5" vinyl fence post, which has been rinsed out when I disconnect. - greendeExplorer IINo gloves here either. Use nitrile gloves for fuel, however
- HannibalExplorerNo gloves here either. Rinse wash and go.
- 2-MTnestersExplorerIf in a full hookup site I don't wear them, but if using a dump station I use the disposable latex gloves. I have seen how some use the dump station and no way am I touching anything around it with my bare hands. I ALWAYS wash my hands after handling any of that equipment. Tim
