Wow! I have noticed quite a few folks connecting and disconnecting their sewer hoses without gloves.I'm not a germaphob but come on....this is just nasty especially when they wipe their nose or mouth while doing this. Guess I'm not shaking hands with people anymore!Just saying.....

Not a big deal with us since we have no solid waste, but I'd have plenty of wet alcohol wipes if I had solid waste in my tank. It can make you very sick if you are very unlucky, but you'd have to be downright unlucky and really careless.

I'm one that does not use gloves. The fact is, if you do it right, your hands never touch anything "wet. And if they do, that's what soap and water is for. If you do it right, you don't need gloves at all.

Guess you won't be shaking our hands. Been rv'n for 20 plus years and have never worn gloves. But then again, we dont stick our hands up the sewer hose. That's what hand washing is for, and the reason they put a station on your rv by the hoses.

Or, don't you cringe when you see someone using their fresh water hose to rinse out their sewer line? I watched a guy stick it down inside the stinky slinky as he was rinsing it.I'm on a trip now and using the Sewer Solution. I've only pumped out once, but I am pretty happy with it so far and it does eliminate having to rinse a stinky slinky....after dumping, it flushes itself with fresh water. But...at a slower speed, so I wouldn't do it at a dump station where the extra time could inconvenience others.

I buy gloves designed for changing oil. They are plastic, and only good for one wearing. When I remove them I just reverse them over themselves thus no surface to touch that yucky to touch. Just what I do and I'm comfortable with it.

Just a comment. In the past I used just rubber gloves. I nicked my hand at a connection. Just a minor thing. Well I got an bacterial infection that took a combination of Cipro and Bacterium to control. I now use leather gloves. Why take a chance for an accidental nick?

I don't wear gloves, and sometime eat while the dumping process occurs.........

Because I am in the truck while my wife does the dumping. She does not use gloves, because her immunity was built up changing thousands of diapers. She does wash her hands afterwards.

Not me. I store my fresh water hose in the front compartment and the slinky goes in the bed of the truck.
