Can't get used to it!

Can't get used to how my new FW tracks behind the TV. Always thinking I am swinging wide enough only to find out, 'Not". This morning I almost took out my mailbox. ;)

Backing up is also giving me nightmares. I have always prided myself with backing up all the trailers I have had, but this FW is busting my butt. Any one else have trouble adjusting to a FW?
  • Drive it like a tractor trailer combo. Swing wide when making right turns when traffic allows or wait until traffic clears to turn.Same when turning left. When backing try to do it on the driver's side so you can see and watch your trailer wheels because that is where the 5er will go. It's a good idea to have somebody back you in also. Get your signals down pat and don't let anybody else butt in while backing.

Turning not so much wide, but deep, I go a little wide but goes as deep as I can. Really not too bad.

Backing just remember a 5er responds slower. Pull further forward to start. Start to straighten out before you think you need too.
You just to need to get use to it.
  • When backing up drive the trailer.pitcher yourself at the trailer wheels and drive them where you want them put.when pulling it reacts faster than a tt so you dont have to swing as hard as a tt.you are turning harded and cutting shorter than you need to
