That generator is much like the one that killed those bikers last year when they had it running next to the trailer. In their case, a hatch door was ajar. It may be that running it in the bed while hitched is too close

Don't overlook the possibility that your furnace fan, which draws OUTSIDE AIR to operate, may well be sucking genny fumes into the trailer.
