Wow-
That generator is much like the one that killed those bikers last year when they had it running next to the trailer. In their case, a hatch door was ajar. It may be that running it in the bed while hitched is too close
Also:
Don't overlook the possibility that your furnace fan, which draws OUTSIDE AIR to operate, may well be sucking genny fumes into the trailer.
If the generator is too close how do onboard generators get by without setting off the alarm?
Do people with onboard generators have issue with the furnace sucking in the outside CO air?
Sometimes the only way to avoid problems is with a Genturi type exhaust system putting the exhaust above the roof so a exhaust cloud can't form under the trailer.
2. Where is the exhaust pointing on the generator? Bed sides could be funneling and or trapping the exhaust right under the trailer.
Exhaust is pointing towards the tailgate. Tailgate is open at 45 degrees because it hits the trailer jack. so the ehaust is blowing up.I think this maybe your problem if calm (no wind)as exhaust cloud will hang in one place and displace the oxygen.
