you will be replacing tires sooner with the Carlisle.
Carlisle says;
-3 to 5 years is the average life expectancy of a trailer tire,regardless of mileage.
– It is estimated that in approximately three years, roughly one-third of a tire's strength is gone
– After three years, depending upon storage and conditions of usage, consider replacing trailer tires even if they have tread depth remaining.
– After five years, trailer tires should be replaced in all cases.
You asked about Cooper LT235/85-16 E tires and had lots of input but IMO your looking for a cheap tire which is alright I guess if your not into 12k-15k miles a year with a heavy trailer.
I would rather use a tire that will last 50k-60k miles and 7+ years on a heavy trailer at any speeds and not worry.
The Maxxis ST8008 doesn't use the nylon cap belt in all sizes. Check with Maxxis if your size has the extra cap belt before spending your hard earned money.
