I had my tires replaced several years ago. One of them had a leak and I tried to pull the tire to take it back to the shop for repair and only got 5 of the 8 lugs off. My 1/2 inch drive impact wrench wouldn't budge it. I got a breaker bar and 3 foot long pipe and still couldn't budge it - I stood on the pipe and bounced until the Craftsman socket broke. I finally took the RV back to the tire place and they had to cut the lug nut off with a torch. I couldn't believe that they could get it that tight. I was really glad that it didn't happen on the road somewhere.
The rest of the story is that the tires failed within 100 miles of each other during rush hour. One in Charlotte and one in Columbia SC. Both were less than a year old and had less than 10,000 miles. They were "Rodeos" and were made in Taiwan.
