We are thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2016 Cedar creek 38RD and would like to hear the pros and cons of Full Body Paint.One option you can get with this unit is what FR calls "Touring Edition" this includes not only the full body paint but it includes a 6 point Lippert hydraulic leveling system as well. This really softens the $5K sticker shock of full body paint.Still, I would like to hear from folks about their opinions on full body paint.

Nice feature, but the dark colors they mfg's tend to use would make it really hard to cool in hot climates I would think.

We have bothh features. Love the paint. It holds up and really adds to the appearance. Love the 6 point leveling MOST of the time. Occasionally it freezes up and won't work. I recycle it a few times and that resolvrs it. Its an electronic issue. Other than that, its a great system that eliminates much of the hassle of leveling the trailer.

ask questions about "Full Body Paint" - specifically Cedar Creek (and others) have been having some problems with Gel Front Caps oxidizing and looking like crap. We have gel front cap and have not had any problems yet (knock on wood)... Otherwise we love our Cedar Creek with the 6-point level up system.

Full body paint is totally worth it to me, gorgeous coach and easy to maintain. The only negative I have had is the paint goes over caulking and seals so any rework is going to show (even if you use clear), and any repairs such as cabinet doors or fenders require an additional stop to the paint shop.The 6 pt leveling is worth its weight in gold as well, and that package would have to help resale.

And by the way , I was 100% honest with them... I asked if they matched the online super wholesalers... they explained why they wont MATCH (mainly overhead)but said CLOSE ..I agreed BUT they know that I have no issues taking a ride to save...

Next question -- got the hookups (In the basement right?) Did the basement by chance have a swing out arm that your could attach a TV to? Reason I ask is out 5er (Rockwood 8289) has that feature and for outside watching, you just unhook the bedroom TV and put it on the swing out TV arm :)

If not, wonder how hard a Mod this would be? and, perhaps instead of taking out the BR TV, you could just buy a extra one and store it in the basement.

We are going to Jeff Couch on Saturday to pickup our new TT. They have been very good. They seem a little rushed on the phone when I have talked to them within the past few weeks. But my sales rep has been very responsive.

I just assume they are very busy.

Just walked through the 38rd at Reines RV... It is beautiful... And there is TV outside..we really like the floor plan... A lot ..the ball is in their court , they were working numbers ,and calling me tomorrow ?.

I am sure the itch is strong now! Good luck with the $ Numbers!

you can get the 6 point leveling system with out getting the full body paint... I do not think the full body paint is worth it I would rather spend the money on something else. the 38rd is a great looking trailer best of luck

Ours has a cable hanging down in the basement. Not sure if it was there or someone fished it through the walls.

That option wont do you any good if you use a tailgater or the like. Just keep that in mind. Yea we love our creek too.
