central vac problems

Just to update: removed unit, found if i pushed down on transformer motor would start. Unsoldered xformer from circuit board. One pin on the primary winding was broken. Picked up new part at radio shack $7.99. Will solder leads on to board tomorrow and mount new transformer to vac body, plenty of room. Should work great, will post back if any problems. :)

Thanks for the link rockin, went to use mine today and nothing. Will get it on the bench and take some readings.
