There are several here with the 3100i and say it will run their 15K air, in fact they say they have better surge ability than the Honda EU3000.
There is more to running the air than just the basic numbers. Altitude and heat play a major roll too. I camp at 10,000 ft where a generator can lose up to 40% on a hot day. I so wanted a inverter generator last year when I replaced our old 3500/4000 but after researching, calling the companies and even rental shop the conclusion was that I would have to go up to a Yamaha 4500 inverter generator to have the power to run my air up there. So I bought another 3500/4000 and turn off the converter.
