Thats a big down side of covering screws with Eternabond.
I helped a neighbor remove about 8' of it from a used TT he had just bought. I have a commercial heat gun left over from when I had a mobilehome/rv repair business that came in handy. Some one did a rooky job and just laid the strips over piled up roof sealant creating dams for lakes on his roof. Pooled water can work on edges of any sealant including any brand of sticky tape.
We were close to 6 hours of gummy work just to get to the screw heads.
Needless to say he didn't want anymore on his roof even if I installed it and sealed the edges for a OEM look.
Never cut the roof membrane. Its just another source of a potential leak up there.
