Our truck gets 20-23 on the highway and about 17 in town, solo. I just averaged 11.4 mpg on a 4500 mile trip with our Excel with about half the mileage being in the Rockies. Mine is a 2wd and not a dually so I will probably get a little better mileage, especially solo. It does use def which I have found to be no big deal. The Excel is no light weight but I am very, very pleased with every aspect of it's performance. We had 39' diesel pusher motorhome we sold last year and the ease, control and comfort of driving is so much better with our new rig.
