Before taking EPA 'stuff' off of any truck especially a new truck or one with a warranty I would look in on some of the Ford/GM or Dodge diesel forums before doing so. You may want to take a hard look at the consequences.
At this time the '13/'14 3500 SRW Rams have GVWRs up to 13400 lbs and 7000 RAWRs. Ford and GM one ton SRW are in the 11500 GVWR and 7000-7050 RAWR range.
My '03 2500 Dodge/Cummins 305/555 HO with the NV5600 3.73 axle averages 12.5 pulling my 11200 lb 5er. I don't live in a city but on my long 660 mile a week commute , retired now, it ran on average 21-21.5 and out on the road on long trips a 22-23.7 all day long.
MPGs can vary quite a bit on these trucks depending on light 3/4 tons with a manual tranny like mine (6840 lbs) up to a one ton DRW crew cab 4x4 auto tranny with lots of options that may weigh 8500-9000 lbs. And which brand diesel and which year model and even which one of Fords diesel engines.
