I bought a 39 ft. Heartland new, and traded in a37 ft class A. The fifth wheel has 3 slides and well insulated, it is a high end model. The one i want to point out there is much more room and being towed behiDnd a one ton is just a breeze. This is also the fist time i ever owned a fifth wheel. 2. I also never owned a big truck so i did lots of research and found that GMC was the way to go. Diesel is the best to go, not a Ford or Ram for one reason long evity, The outhers have a high break down record says consumer reports. my truck is not a dual and it handles the 17000 lbs just fine. I hope this helps.
Yeah, and Consumers report tells me every Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, Jeep Patriot and Liberty I've owned since 97' are all terrible vehicles and I've NEVER had the first issue with any of them, zip, nil, nada....my research is more in line with personal experience of myself and others...don't put a lot of credence in Consumers Report....Ram is supposed to be bad? Doggone, have had them for over 3 yrs and again, not the first problem...glad my truck can't read....I also had a pile of Chevy D/A's and only had a heating issue with an 05 LLY model, but even that wasn't bad..so not knocking Chevy either...don't know a whole lot about Ford, but having owned Chevy and Ram....the CR is junk...
all that to say, "not a Ford or a Ram" is a bunch of bull...longevity" Cummins diesel, really??
