so size s the only criteria..wondered if volts were an issue..on my own so don't know this stuff

Spendide makes washers. Anything that will fit will work.

If all you want is a washer, then you want the apartment size one. There narrower and have a smaller tub, so they will fit through the door. What are you going to do for a dryer?
