Cold-ish weather camping

No problem, that is warm weather in Wyo.

If it only gets down to 30ish, you should be fine! Can I assume you have heated, insulated basement/tank area? If so, you will certainly be OK.....if the forced air runs at all at night. In Wyoming higher country....not uncommon to see below freezing temperatures in September. Early October camping in a pop-up in single digits is memorable! Down here in the low country, I’m tired of seeing the upper 90’s with a 100 or two thrown in......ready to see some snow and cooler temperatures! Enjoy your time boondocking! Wow ... I'm curious as to what altitude you have to be at in WY in order to get those kind of nighttime temperatures in only the first week of September?

Is WY not participating in the warm summertime temps going on all over the U.S. ... which should also mean somewhat higher than normal temps even high up in the mountains?

Thanks, we have two batteries, a built in generator, and 4 propane tanks (which we can take to refill if needed), so we're good there :)

We do a lot of boondock camping, just not normally when it dips that cold. We did the same trip last year and it only got down in the mid-40s at the same time.

I camped in low 20's with wind and my open bottom water suction line froze. I discontinued shore power and started the built in generator that put heat underneath the camper. Within 15 minutes it was thawed out.

Just pile on he blankets at night and leave the heater off.

No need to use tank heaters at 28+ overnight and 50+ during the day.

However if things change and you are dipping into the low 20s consider turning them on. Although the heater take a lot of power and will drain your battery in short order. Would need to run your generator. Possibly just ignore it until you need to dump. In which case dump in the late afternoon to thaw things out.

I've camped near Granby with an uninsulated bottom rv and it got to 15 at night but warmed up quickly in the morning, no problem. 10 degrees at Rubys, by Bryce was a different story... The water lines were frozen til about 11am. Craig

To get a freezing issue, yo need to be below freezing for a number of hours. Just a quick dip below freezing and back up to 60's during the day, no issues.
