Cold nights in Branson

Well I would have set the furnace to run more often, as that is what keeps the belly warm. If the inside of the MH was in the mid 60's no need to put pink stuff in the drains.
You may have gone a bit overboard, but in the end the best part you did ENOUGH to keep stuff from freezing up.

OPer, curious, how did you fair in Branson?

Wish I had seen this post earlier. I had our Montana HC in Tulsa last January. Temps down around 15F most nights. I turned on all storage bay lights and put 2 drop/trouble lights in the bay. I discovered the hot and cold lines going to the washer/dryer prep were right up against the exterior wall on the curb side. Looked like an excellent spot if you wanted to freeze them. I slipped some foam pipe insulation over them.
I used an electric blanket on the bed, kept the fireplace on, and set the furnace so it would run occasionally overnight. I disconnected the water hose on both ends before sundown. I stayed comfortable and had no problems.

Just remove the hoses for the evening/night. Use water from tank. During the day you will be fine.

We will be there for four nights after Christmas. Plan on taking the camper also. We do not have a heated under belly. As long as the day time temps get around average of 40+ degrees I think you will be alright with temps dropping to the 20s at night. Just fill your water tank and use it at night. The water lines should be ok. I will put a 40 watt light bulb in the the storage compartment under the bedroom. That should keep temps there above freezing. Good luck, John

A few years ago on our annual Christmastime trip to Branson it got into the low teens several nights in a row. We were fine with the heated underbelly but had to roll up the water hose and live off the fresh water tank. The park had water hook ups that were above ground and required them to be shut off. We were able to refill during the day though. We used an electric heater to supplement the furnace but made sure it ran enough to keep the tanks and lines from freezing.

I would not let the water trickle. You would need to leave the grey tank valve open if it trickled very fast, and the water trickling out the tank may freeze solid inside your sewer hose.

Run the furnace fill fresh water tank (insulated under belly) disconnect fresh water and enjoy.
