RV locks are worthless simply because RV doors frames are very flimsy and be open with any type of pry bar or large screwdriver.
Only honest behavior is keeping your stuff safe.
Get any type of lock you want, if a real thief shows up to steal your stuff it will be gone and you will have a bent door frame to show for it.
No "pry bar or large screwdriver" necessary!.:R
A *medium* blade type screwdriver will do just fine..;)
Been camping in RVs since 1970 - nothing stolen yet.
(But - bound to be a first time).
Been using thumb turn latches (no key req'd) for years.
No valuable items in storage compts - prefer to have UNdamaged compt doors if someone wants to steal any of the "stuff" inside.
Common sense says lock valuable items like bikes, M/Cs, etc. that are outside.
And yes - I lock my car, truck, etc..:S
*If* compt door locks are your cup of tea, why not!?..:C..:C
A search should provide a post by Francesca a while back for pics of compt door combination locks and a link to the provider.
