Comfortable Sofa ideas? Experience with Flexsteel Easy Bed.

I want to put a sofa in my 5th wheel and so far the Flexsteel Easy Bed looks like it would be a good fit and also comfortable. I am more of a sofa than a chair person. I don't need a bed in the sofa but am not opposed to it if the sofa is comfortable.

Does anyone know what RV manufactures are currently using Flexsteel sofas? There are a lot of dealers in our area so I could go and try them out if I knew which brands have them. The sofas in the Cedar Creeks look a lot like the Flexsteel sofa I'm interested in.

Any other suggestions for a comfortable lounging sofa for an RV? I can go up to 39" depth and 72 wide. I'd like to find something that I can get through the door without removing the back window. The Flexsteels come apart which makes them very appealing for ease of installation.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very appreciative.

I have a 5th wheel also, and did not like the furniture that came with it. Both the sleeper sofa and the recliners that came with our rig we thought were of poor quality. So we did what you are doing now and went on a search for better quality furniture. All the so called RV furniture seemed to be the same to us. Long story short we ended up buying a La-Z-Boy sleeper sofa and two recliners. Another couple that we camp with also bought La-Z-Boy as they were very impressed with ours. Since that time we have recommended it to many more RV'ers on our manufactures forum. Also I will point out that La-Z-Boy is made in the USA.. Good luck with your search....:B
  • Why not go to a Flexsteel retailer and look at residential sofas? Flexsteel has "gallery" dealers with huge selections. I've been looking around and just ordered one for my home today.
  • We took a leather basset love seat from our stick house and put it in our 5er. It beats the jacknife couch by a mile. If you can get it through the door, any kind will do. Try your local furniture store and let them put it in that thing was awkward.
  • if you want to sleep on it, check out the Magic Sofa Bed from Bradd and Hall.
