Looking at new 5th wheels. Asking for opinions between the Montana Mountaineer 356TBF and the Jayco Eagle Premier 375BHFS.

Thank you

  • I like the looks of the Montana best. Both are pretty dark which IMO is depressing. Jayco probably has a better quality. Glad it's not my decision. But then I'll never need a BH.

    Jayco Eagle Premier 375BHFS

If you are looking at a BH, you likely have children, so you really should be thinking on a 3500 DRW to tow something that big and heavy.

Both have OK kitchens but not really big, the entertainment center (TV) location in the Jayco seems better for viewing, but the Montana looks to have more storage space in the Master bedroom.

  • Mountaineer is on the low end of the Montana family...Eagle Premier is one level down from Jayco's finest. Eagle will have more insulation and Jaycos' 2 year warranty. I'd go with the Jayco myself..

  • Sorry, can't really speak to your choices. We have an 07 Jayco and are thoroughly please with nearly all aspects. I have made some mods, but it was well cared for and we got it from friends. You do see a lot of Montana's on the road so they must have something going for them. Look at structural elements and the way things fit together. Good luck with your choice and for my money you probably can't go wrong with either.
  • We have a Jayco Designer and really like it. I would go with Jayco because of the two year warranty and their customer service.
