I towed my 30' travel trailer (Sunnybrook 29DBS) with a 2500 Suburban with an 8.1 ltr gas engine.

If you don't tow long distances, the crew cab might work with 6 passengers. But, it will be a tight squeeze, even for short distances.

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.....
