Just seems to me that a 38' FW is lot for a F250. The power is there without problem.
With all the new 'light' trailers coming on the market, length really isn't that much of a barometer. It's really nothing to find 5ers 35-38' long with dry weights under 10,000lbs. Keystone Montanan High Countries are a good example.
