there are a few resellers that can reduce the price.. TST will even patch them!
I have dually, long bed and 40 ft FW. no issues. (they have an extender if needed, I don't need one).
I haven't heard of anyone losing sensors.. the crowd we hang out with are pretty decent all around
they work sitting still. take maybe 5 minutes to register..
hook up, turn on monitor, do your packing and sensors will be active.
they also allow you to turn off the trailer sensors on the monitor (press two keys) when you are away from the trailer to avoid alarms and reduce the scan cycle time.
note, you have to protect yourself from dumb workers..
I had the tires balanced last year while on a trip.
the worker rolled two tires, stem side together and sheered off both sensors. they paid, but I was without sensors for the rest of the trip.
