If this is the case you really should think about installing a smart mode type converter/charger unit. The Progressive Dynamics models are very popular among the RV Campers. I changed out my WF8945 to a PD9260C a few years back. This recharges my 50% discharged three battery bank in around three hours time using smart mode charging techniques.

FYI, the WFCO 8945 that you changed out was a 3 stage charger WFCO 8945
Perhaps the reason you are seeing faster charge rates with the PD is because you went from a 45 amp charger to a 60... ??
