Hi Neighbor! Nice project! It really takes guts and an understanding wife to do something like this!
Have you thought about swapping axle tubes and axles one side to the other? Then you could swap the left & right axles. Thus moving the back rearend over to allow the driveshaft to pass the front rear.
Does the regular Dodge transfer case have straight cut gears or Helical cut gears? Straight gears would allow it to run backwards and be turned around. Helical cut gears can not do that since they would put the thrust in the wrong direction running backwards.
Noticed you are a Nascar fan, maybe we will see you at a race. Would love to see this beast in real life!
