Crossroads Cruiser

Due to changes in life circumstances, we are downsizing from a 38' Salem to something smaller, potentially a Crossroads Cruiser 28BH. This particular model is actually a 2003 but appears to be in excellent shape and has the floor plan and features we are looking for. I have only had Forest River products so I am not really familiar with Crossroads. Does anyone have any opinions on them, especially that age range? Thanks.
  • We had a 2006 5th wheel that was very well constructed and held up good with the proper maintenance I performed. Sealing all the joints like on any RV is critical. Our unit had no delamination on the day we sold it. It brought top dollar because of the maintenance I kept up with and the fact we had always stored it under a tall shed in our yard. I'm not sure the newer Crossroads are as well built and the older ones. Overall I liked ours very much
  • We had a 2003 Cruiser CF 27RL for 7 years. The only issue with is was Crossroads replaced the axles (ALKO) due to a manufacturing error. We sold it to some friends and bought our current 2010 CF 30SKP.

The converter quit on us this Memorial Day weekend but other than that pretty trouble free.

My brother owned one but out grew it.
  • I have a 2015 Crossroads Cruiser, 305rs. Only complaint's I have are:
**The front cap faded overnight it seemed like. 2 years
**Crossroads owns the poor quality of tires they installed.
** the " black Label" furniture started peeling after 2 years.
Other than that, anything that got fixed was usually operator error.

None of those are CR's build problems. Many brands had faded caps. Tires are made by the tire MFG.
    CR doesn't make furniture.
Sounds like the 5th wheel was made well, but CR used poor products when they assembled it.
