All slides are an engineering decision. If you have a slide on one side, you automatically have hardware room on the other side for slide(s). The balance of the RV is better also. Think of a small toy hauler. They have no room for slides because of the cargo requirements. I'm waiting for the entire kitchen and cabinets on a SSlide.
