Correct. You are only able to use the 12v side without an inverter. You have a good start w 2 6 volt batteries. But your regular 110v appliances/TV/lights will not work on 12v.
Thank you markmontana - I thought I was missing something in the OP's question when I saw others responding in a confused manner. Plain gist of it is that on battery power only your 12v lights will work. All else runs off propane - fridge - except for the display, water heater, stove, oven, heater (and use that sparingly as the heater will run those batteries down). To run your satellite and TV, and a laptop, radio, etc. you will need a Converter and two extra batteries and expert wiring. We checked into this recently and discussed adding solar panels to recharge the batteries when boondocking. All in all, it was going to cost us around $5G for all this so we decided to hold off till later.
