I know when I was shopping for new hitches most of them said the Curt rails were not compatible. It said to make sure I had universal rails. I never understood this until right now. This could have been the reason. I have no information one way or the other to prove this theory though so take it for what it is.
Actually, I think the hitches in question are for the puck system, in which case the fastening pins/twist locks could be different sized, between the Curt and B&W.
