Curt fifth Wheel Hitches

Going from a short bed with a Pullrite Super Glide to a long bed where we don't require a slide hitch. Does anyone have any comments regarding the Curt Hitch, good , bad or otherwise? Any first hadn experience will be appreciated.

Thanks!
  • I am looking for a new hitch as well. I'm currently considering the Curt Q24 and the Reese Elite.

I have read posts on this forum that some of the Curt hitches can be a bit finicky to connect and disconnect, but once used to the process it's not an issue. Suggest you do a search to gain more info.

Just wait a bit and I'm sure you'll be hearing from the B&W crowd, which from what I have seen is an excellent choice. If they only made a 25K to drop in a Ford with 5th wheel prep :(
  • We have a Curt Q20 hitch. We've used to pull our Montana 5th wheel with no complaints.
  • My Dad has a Q20 Curt slider fifth wheel...

    It is a SOLID hitch!

The hitch head and the jaw design is great. He has never had a problem with it and is very satisfied.

    Thanks!

  • I had a Curt hitch and had no problems with it. I upgraded to a heavier hitch.
  • I have a Curt E16. I have only towed about 2k miles with it, but so far I'm pleased with the hitch. Simple, solid design and a great value. Curt seems to be more prevalent in the South. Hopefully someone with more experience can jump in and add to this.
  • The shop where I bought my Patriot sold Curts as well. He said "I wish everyone would just buy a Patriot!"

I am sure pleased with mine.
