I turned my last TT over to Camping World
to have some "electrical" issues evaluated. My TT had a Hensley
Hitch on the A-frame. I checked with the manager and they were
"familiar" with the Hensley. Hooked up their fork-lift and proceeded
to move my TT to the work shop. Fast forward... picked up TT and
something didn't feel right in towing. Headed out of town... long
story short after return from camping trip thought I'd re-inspect
everything. Yep, somehow they managed to torque a key component ( a
long bolt inside the right front strut assembly...critical.) ... I disassembled ,
found a local welding shop ..had the long bolt heated and straightened ...
but had no faith in the structural integrity after that... purchased a new strut assembly ...
and learned a lesson. The bolt was easily 12 -14 inches long...
sheathed in a sleeve... and somehow torqued to a "lazy -L shape" .
As it was hidden , it took me some time to realize the damage.... as such ,
I ate the repair/replacement costs.

I cannot imagine the amount of torque required to bend that huge 2 " thick bolt.

Moral... be aware of how the local repair facility re-locates your RV...
sometimes "experts" aren't "experts".

My concern over hidden damage to the frame was one (not all) of the
factors that led to trading in the unit.

Only one way to bend a strut bar - turning too sharp. That's assuming they used your stinger to move your TT.

Or, perhaps they used a fork truck and a block of wood while moving, or something else silly, and tweaked it that way.
