BOTH were certainly issues with my brand new Coachmen Freedom Express ... the tank sagged so badly when full that the side mounted draw port would allow the pump to only draw ~ 10 gals out of a full 30 gal tank. :M
As soon as I realized what was going on I had my dealer install braces under the tank so it couldn't sag and with that done I moved the draw port from the tank side wall to the bottom drain port location and can now draw ALL the water from the tank. Haven't had any sediment issues with the bottom draw port.
This is a far more common problem than one would think so pity those owning rigs with an enclosed underbelly where these issues aren't so immediately obvious. :(
