It is unbelievable that this went from finding the GREASE to bashing EZ Lube Axles. If anyone cares I did find that Lucas Red and Tacky is OK. That what I started this thread about GREASE!
Well, ya have to get everybodies opionion about the weather, current affairs and politics 1st.
We have covered which grease gun to use, where to put it, who doesnt like the system and 5 different methods of bearing maintenance.
In the end you answered your own question. Which I was going to help you with last night but the thread got ao derailed I just popped some popcorn , opened a beer and sat back for the entertainment. Sorry for that bit it was like a train wreck.
I know what you mean sometimes you just never know where these things are going, but I have resolved my issue and will be buying Lucas red and tacky at Autozone by my house and will use a grease gun per Dexter
The manufacturer of the product or a google many times beats asking a straight forward question on website forums such as rv.net where many replies don't answer the OP question or offer help.
I have Dexter and Rockwell American axles on two of my trailers with a EZ lube type system.
I've used Redline high temp wheel bearing grease in a tube and a can for many years on all my trailers when I do my anual r&r on the bearings and brakes.
