Dicor or Eternabond

So, I noticed that KZ totally cheaped out on the front roof-to-cap seam on my '17 Durango 1500. Silicon bead along the seam, covered by a 1+" wide seam of Dicor, EXCEPT for a gap of 3-4" at each end, which is how I know there's silicon under the Dicor. Cheap, cheap, cheap!

Question; should I get a tube of Dicor and cover those 2 gaps or use Eternabond?

  • Clean it up well and go with the Eternabond tape. It will be a one time repair for as long as you own the trailer if you do it right. Mine is going on 14 years.

  • X2 on eternobond... I put a strip of 6” on BOTH front and rear seams the first weekend I had my new fiver
  • I would use Eternabond. If installed properly, it's a one time repair.
