Digital Media Players > TV Video Entertainment

We are considering adding a TV to the front sleeper of our WW. I have read about people using digital media devices like WD TV Play or Minix NEO X7/8, to watch digital movies in their trailers.

I was curious if anyone used a digital media player and usb hdd for their digital movies in their trailers here, and what your experience is/was.
  • I use a western digital mini media player that has a usb port and a small 1tb hard drive plugged into it. I have been doing this for years and it works fine for me.
  • I don't think I would need wifi. I guess if I had cell service I could use the mobile hot spot. I just want to use the portable hard drive for my movies rather than packing up dvds.
  • If these are like a Google Chromecast then you just need a TV with USB input and a wifi connection. Should be no different than using in a house. The challenge with an RV can be with getting wifi depending on where/how you camp.
