Dillon South Caroline

I will be passing through and looking for an overnight. I see there are two campgrounds. One private Bass Lake and a state park Little Pee Dee. I will be in a DRW with a 40ft fiver. Any comments on either park good or bad. Thanks.
  • we have stayed at Bass lake a few times in our travels to FL. sites are not paved but most are level . owner greets you and then takes you out to your site on a golf cart .it is also near I 95 and plenty of fueling stations at that exit .only drawback is the sandy ground at spots
  • Stayed with Pedro once, Never again. Cheap yes, it is old and shows it everywhere. If you are in it for cheap then just camp in the parking lot, I am sure it is just as good. Didn't feel safe there.
  • Only one we've been to is Little Pee Dee, we just tried it a couple of months ago for the first time and will tell you up front.....the spaces will be too small for you. It was a nice park quite and pretty but we won't be back unless they make the spaces to park the RV bigger.
  • Bass Lake sites aren't paved, but are large and a great deal if you are Passport America.
  • I agree with Ford Truck Guy - hard to beat Pedro's at South of the Border - easy on and off I-95, pretty secure, nice long level paved pull through sites, and pretty cheap. Can't help you with the others ....
