That problem sounds familiar when we had Dish.net. DH would change a channel on Dish receiver in LR and the automatic Dome would knock out the Cartoons in the bedroom for our GD as the Dome searched for the other satellite.
We upgraded to DirecTV eventually and flipped a switch on the Dome and never had another issue.
Since we're fulltimers, we now have an HD DirecTV dish and upgraded to the Genie after we picked up the new RV. With the Whole House feature, we can tape 7 shows at once. 5 on the LR DVR and 2 in the BR and watch any from either DVR.
