For many people the DirecTV vs Dish issue is like Ford vs Chevy trucks; there's no right or wrong answer. However, for us, Dish's lack of DNS service takes it off the table. Being able to program the DVR once and not having to reset it with different local stations in different cities is important to us, as full-timers. It might not be nearly so important to someone who only uses their RV for vacations and a few weekend trips.
