What/where exactly is the part in your photo where you refer to filing the mating surfaces?
For a lubricant, since I already have
a tube of this for my truck, I will use it until gone and switch to the Permatex.
My 5ver disc brakes use the "215" series pads, which are the same as the front brake pads for the 1983-1996 Buick Century (among others).
The Raybestos line has 5 selections within that model: part numbers: ATD215M, EHT215, MGD215M, PGD215M, and SGD215M.
The PGD215M is what I am considering from Raybestos.
From the photo on your brake pad box, your brake pads are also listed as the 215 series (D215 on your box).

I would like the pads to be D.O.T. "FF" Edge Code, but without physically seeing the pads it is hard to know. That info is not usually listed in the specs I have searched.
