I know that to you it sounds simple...but to a couple who know nothing about electricity or batteries - other than how to jump start car batteries - what you just outlined sounds daunting. Ours is an Open Range 3x, 42'6" long. With a battery disconnect lever. Anyone know if there are some other batteries somewhere we don't know about??
That's because people were talking about what =could= happen in a motor home. Why they're talking about that in a FW forum, when it's not even a pertinent example, I don't know. You =did= mention what you had in your 3rd post, the 8th overall to the thread, so it's not like people didn't know what you had.
FWIW, I had not realized that some mfrs leave the detectors hot all the time, even with the disconnect OFF. To me, that defeats the purpose of the thing.
