And mold will grow on/in the dirt. Thats why the entire roof is starting to turn black. It just needs washed. I wash mine twice a year and it always looks almost new.

I believe the tip by Dave H M was to remove the shroud inside the camper, You should see the duct works and if there is any gaps between the discharge on the AC to the ducts. Not uncommon to see gaps in the connections and cold air blowing into you attic

Your best bet is to contact Forest River in Topeka, IN. Send them a picture and see what they say. Then haul your 5th wheel to Topeka, and have them fix the roof. If it is a real problem, they may put a new roof on.

That's what I got from the picture.

watching the responses here as this is what my roof looks like as well. my cat is parked in my driveway and does have a bunch of the **** from the trees fall on it. i cleaned the roof earlier this year but that didn't do much to get rid of the lines.

Thanks for the replies everyone.. I'll try spot cleaning it.. The AC blows cold on the inside (in fact, it cools the RV down pretty quickly). Next time I have the AC going, I'll climb up there and see if I can see any weird issues.

I say clean the roof more often.

I would lean heavily toward Beaker's thought and get up there on a ladder and do a test clean up on a spot, from the ladder that is and not even bother getting on the roof..

An irregularity along the seam may cause moisture to linger there and collect dirt or dust or whatever, who knows maybe it is mold.

I bet it is not a manufacture defect.

Also i would definitely pull the shroud down on the air conditioner in the ceiling and see if the AC is blowing cold air into the area between the ceiling and the roof and not all going into the ducting. My fifth was cooling the roof more than the inside until I got the ducking sealed up.

Dirt and condensation.
Seems like you're in the perfect spot for it.
Have you tried cleaning a small spot to see if it cleans up?
