Funny how people convince themselves they "have to" have something.
I carry a regulator. Don't use it unless I observe very high supply pressure. Once used it without checking pressure, and had zero flow. Just the cheap inline type. The regulator set point was lower than the supply available. Had to put my clothes back on and go out and remove the stupid thing. Now i don't use it unless I know it is needed.
Hardly a must-have item.
