Do "vented" tailgates help on 5th wheels?
Friend of mine says he gets better mileage with a vented/louvered tailgate. Do they really make a difference or is it just another novelty item that's nice to have but not needed.

- If it is V'd in the center it will help with hitching and unhitching!!!!!!
A magnet on the fuel line helps more with mileage! Oh! And that Wing on top of the cab! They are a really mileage waste of money, but are reported to help handling in cross winds.
Nothing is going to change to mileage much on a 8.1L Gas engine. It does not even vary that much towing or non-towing!!!!!
